Week 9/14 - 9/16
I came to school Monday ready to work on my project more and then we had a power outage, so that didn't happen. By Tuesday everything was back online and I was able to get some work done. I started by going back to my breadboard and finishing the last few issues before making the PCB. I still didn't have a battery source so I went back to the idea of using some batteries from broken down tapes. I soldered some connections so I could plug the battery into my board, but it had no power. I plugged it in to charge and somehow it didn't take long for the battery to be fully charged. With that out of the way I added a switch so the wouldn't have to unplug the battery to turn the motor off everytime. All my changes were done and now I had to transfer everything into Fusion.
Actually putting the components in was easier them I remembered it was just getting them all arranged that took time. At first my traces were too small so I had to get the correct rule set from the shop website. After that there kept being a couple spots that wouldn't connect. Mr. Christy and Ben showed me that I could create two holes and then just connect those with jump wires for now.
It was finally time to start milling the PCB. I got everything set up and there weren't any errors... until I saw the finished PCM. Most of the holes were not milled. This was probably my fault for not setting the correct pad length when making component. I will fix the problem and hopefully everything should work.
